Travelling by Car
Whitby is accessible via the A1 or M1 towards York, and then by the A171 Middlesbrough – Whitby – Scarborough road.
Whitby operates an affordable Park and Ride service seven days a week. More information can be found at the Whitby Park and Ride website, here.
Parking passes can be purchased at ticket machines town-wide.
Whitby is accessible by numerous local Public Transport services which stop within walking distance of the harbour.

The harbour itself is accessible from the main street. Access to the Endeavour is via a gangplank, and inside each deck is connected by steps.

The HM Bark Endeavour is berthed at Whitby Harbour, which faces due North. This is one of the only places in the UK that you can see the sun rise and set over the sea directly.
The West Pier is extremely accessible, and makes for a scenic stroll towards the 80ft Lighthouse.
